Volpato Industrie has reduced its environmental impact by implementing a protocol for the management of raw materials and waste disposal, focused on sustainability. In the development of its industrial and working spaces, the company follows sustainable building models, constructing new-generation facilities designed to minimize heat dispersion.

FROM SOLAR ENERGY TO RECYCLING: VOLPATO INDUSTRIE’S GREEN PATH

3200 PANELS
1500 MWh PRODUCED

Volpato has currently installed a photovoltaic system with 3200 panels for a production capacity of 1500 MWh as well as generating 3400 MWh thanks to its gas trigeneration plant.

USE OF POLYPROPYLENE

Volpato manufactures profiles in 100% recyclable polypropylene without any hazardous substances, through a production chain with a low environmental impact. Moreover, polypropylene products allow plasma gluing without the application of any primer.

ENERGY DIAGNOSIS

Volpato made the energy audit of its plants. The data collected led to an action plan meant to improve the company’s energy performance.

13 ELECTRIC PRESSES

Volpato has increased the number of electric presses up to 13 obtaining important results in terms of energy savings.

USE OF ALUMINUM

Many volpato products and systems are made of easily recyclable 6060 aluminum alloy. Volpato provides for the recovery and recycling of processing.

SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING

In many cases, traditional wooden pallets have been replaced with recycled cardboard ones, polystyrene foam fillers with honeycomb board, plastic films with regenerated films or kraft paper.

CERTIFICATION ISO 14001 AND ISO 50001

Volpato, in addition to aiming to double its current production capacity, has achieved ISO 14001 certification and is working to obtain ISO 50001.

TOTAL RECYCLING

Plastic waste deriving from the extrusion and moulding processes are recovered and reprocessed. Volpato chose its partners among those who are most attentive to the environmental aspects, in order to implement and improve the sustainability of its production chain.
