Unionplast acquisition: a step forward in our growth journey within the furniture industry’s components sector.
We are pleased to announce the acquisition of a 90% stake in Unionplast S.r.l., a specialist manufacturer of accessories and technical components for the furniture industry, headquartered in Cimadolmo (TV).
This is our second acquisition in just over a year, after bringing in Gollinucci in 2023, and it is a key part of our growth strategy for expanding into new areas, aimed at reinforcing our position in the national and international furniture components market.
Founded over forty years ago, Unionplast closed 2024 with revenues of €9.5 million, up from €9.2 million in 2023. Elisa and Riccardo Bariviera will retain a 10% stake in the company and continue to contribute to its management, ensuring continuity and making the most of its internal skills.
“With Unionplast becoming part of Gruppo Volpato, we are taking another step in our journey of industrial growth, with the aim of integrating high-calibre, complementary companies” states our CEO, Edoardo Billotto. “This acquisition offers a valuable opportunity to generate growth by incorporating expertise, technologies and resources.”
Since 1974, we have been putting all our passion into producing components for the furniture industry. In 2024, we generated revenues of approximately €90 million, 60% of which came from foreign markets. Our workforce has now grown to 355, and we continue to invest in innovation, sustainability, and quality to provide the furniture industry with increasingly advanced solutions.
By joining forces with Unionplast, we are strengthening our leadership position, expanding our range of furniture components and consolidating our presence in our key markets.
